Little Flower Girl

It's a brave work with much merit Rachel. One of its strengths is that you have to look at it and it isn't blatantly obvious. I really like it. It's terrific.

That’s great Jim thank you. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I love abstract but also like to see something in it. Very happy with your comment :))

I think it’s Marvell Rachel......apart from the obvious, there is so much more to look for and find. Very clever.

That's so very good, Rachel. Loved searching in it to find all the gems you've hinted at so well! Brilliant work!

Thank you Fiona and Thalia. Love your comments, and really pleased it enticed you in :)

That's really interesting Rachel, I think you have achieved what you set out to do, I'm glad you decided to stick with the yellow for the hair, it just makes it stand out that little bit from the rest of the painting. Also it picks out the other bright spots of yellow, well done , Mum x

Well constructed Rachel, interesting piece.

I'm not into abstracts but I can see hat there's a lot of work gone into this one.

Thank you Mum and Alan. Margaret.. thank you for comments, i realise it’s not your thing so do appreciate you taking the time to comment :) x

Hang on Studio Wall

An experimental abstract. Struggled mainly with the hair as I wanted it to hang and then wasn’t sure whether to stick with the tones in the rest of the painting or brighter. This is the version I am most happy with but needed the block behind her head for definition and the grey seemed like the less influential colour.
