Thanks for the stages as requested Richard, appreciated. Obviously it's not easy to follow without close-up shots but you have an amazing skill with a painting knife, the likes of which I've not come across before. Good luck with your artistic career.

Thanks for sharing, Richard. Fabulous work.

Can't say fairer than that. Thank you for responding, and demonstrating so quickly.

So interesting to see , thanks Richard.

I've just added a few closer images of a more recent painting. This particular one was around 14 years ago but I don't have many. I had these as the collector who commissioned it specifically requested images at all stages of development with myself in the photo! At this stage of my career, I mounted my easel off the wall and fixed it to the floor and ceiling as my studio air conditioning unit got in the way of lateral canvas movement. For the more recent images, it's a painting I did only in 2017 and my easel was wall mounted. I modify a standard easel to suit my needs. I cannot paint sat down as my knees get in the way and I like to move around and always paint at optimum eye level. I don't copy anyone else's technique, style or way of working. I've developed what works for me and what I'm comfortable with. Early on I experimented with so many for several years and I am now fairly comfortable, so I try to make small 1% improvements to each new painting. I hope this little insight answers a few questions. I have posted images in development on my website and FB pages. I also try to answer the usual questions I get and more in my website FAQ page.
