It's lovely and the narrative is very itneresting

Thanks for all your good comments. I do like pastel as a medium that is not too messy but it needs fixing at each coat except the top coat. Framing needs to allow for pastel chalk dust.

A holiday let where the owner has added a guest cottage to his own near Penallt, Monmouthshire. I sat out over two mornings drawing this in pastel so as to get the light and colours correct. It is a most interesting dwelling place where each room is round - except the kitchen - which is part of the original cottage. The owner grows apples and pears and makes his own very strong Cider and Perry, sell ing at the local pub.
