Biography

Following an early career as a merchant Navy Navigation Officer, I attended Croydon School of Art in the late 50's. I then spent over 40 years as a graphic designer, producing magazines, publicity ephemera, corporate branding programmes et cetera. I tutor art for a couple of hours weekly, and occasionally run a life drawing class. See www.richardwaldron-art.org Tutoring page. I work both in my studio and 'en plein air', using light, and colour theory, and telling a 'visual story'.... often with a social message. I am a Freeman of the City of London and have exhibited with the Guildhall Art Gallery, Painter Stainers' Fine Arts and Crafts Society Bromley Art Society Various Galleries, and Denbies Winery with the Dorking Group of Artists.
