This is having a classical touch. The panoramic view and the diversity of figures add movement and a lively atmosphere. The background building is also nicely crafted.Shadows are sweet. Inspiring painting.

Fabulous piece of art Richard, so much in this and totally capturing the type of image necessary for its future use as a jigsaw

Hi Richard It's Geoff - hope you are well! I remember it very much working with you on this jigsaw puzzle when I was at Gibsons. You put in so much work filling the area of grass and adding all that incredible detail. Are you still painting for jigsaw puzzles? Geoff

Thanks, Geoff, This was a labour of love and as it was intended for a jigsaw, I needed to put in lots of detail. Even so, when I received the jigsaw and put it together, it was quite challenging, especially the sky. At the moment, I'm taking a break from painting, as I am keeping very busy with another business but when I retire from that, I will be painting full time again. In the meantime, several of my paintings are still being published as jigsaws. Best wishes, Richard

HI Richard Yes, jigsaws and sky are not a good match, even though you filled yours with nice white clouds. Have a good break from painting, and I look forward to seeing your work when you return to it. I've kept in the jigsaw industry on www.everythingjigsaw.com - can't keep away after 23 years! Geoff

This painting of Trinity College, Cambridge, England, was commissioned by Gibsons Games for a large 1000-piece jigsaw, which they will be publishing in 2014. It shows the River Cam running behind Trinity College, with a variety of people enjoying the nice weather. My favourite dog, Oscar, also makes another appearance.
