You have captured the stillness beutifully, I like the muted colours of the sunrise, sometimes they can be much too garish. The boats are so weel drawn, too, I just love this painting.

Thanks Pamela. You are right about the colours, they can be spectaular, but it is all too easy to let them become garish. I loved the morning and I loved the painting, and I hope that comes through.

I know this view well as I see it once a week. Very well done :)

I always find sunrises and sunsets particularly appealing. I love the feeling that is quite special at dawn in the harbour. There is a wonderful stillnes, with only the gulls and curlews calling. This is of the harbour at Wells-Next-The-Sea. It is done in water mixable oils and is 16 inches X 20 inches.
