it counterpoints the surrealism of the underlying metaphor!!

We are artists we understand! Did you deliberately blur your face?

You're all fuzzy Richard ho ho x

Have we been visited by aliens? Beautiful skies

Glad the cat's ok. I certainly do like your clouds. Not sure about the theory bit lol.

Hi Richard, your stuff is thoroughly accomplished, the cloud ones are liberating to behold, for me personally they make a reversion to childhood, lying on my back on the poolside in South Africa watching the afternoon storm clouds build up on the thermals.

There is a Valentine's card on facebook that for one moment I thought was one of your paintings. Got quite a shock when I saw it. It has your clouds, your blue sky. The sky is in the shape of an offset heart, obviously done digitally. Is it yours?

P.S. Glad the cat's okay

Hi Rich, thanks for your very touching comment on my 'Christopher' portrait. Looking at your accomplished portraits I am flattered that you looked at it. Have responded to your comment on the 'Christopher' posting. Like your blurb (above) . Would be nice to see a photo of you in focus. Is that why we rely on portraits?? Your photography is as terrible as mine!!! Lol (only joking!) Jx

Many thanks for all your comments. They are appreciated enormously. I thought I'd share my thinking behind my beloved clouds , just so you know there is method behind my madness! They are all part of a new series of paintings collectively called 'Nebulous'. These paintings come as a result of my recent fascination with the relationship between art and physics. Mathematical equations that describe self-similarity fighting against natures beautiful talent for self-organisation. With 'Nebulous' I also want to create work that reveals more about the viewer than the artist. Similar to the psychiatrist's inkblot test, the curiously defined forms within cumulus cloud formations often connect with our life experiences and so everything that defines who we are. I could go on and on but I fear I may lose your attention as it gets really complicated and I need to take my cat to the vet... Rich
