Your handling of skies and clouds is exceptional, and so good they could almost be mistaken for photographs not oil paintings

I love these images you really have plucked them from the sky and put them on canvas exceptional well done

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING !!!! . They are soooo realistic. Beautiful.

Im sure i see a shape of England in there, they do say if you stare at the clouds...............

Bravo - puts my meager efforts into the shade - great work - how long does each one take?

Hello Carole, Many thanks for your kind remarks. I'm truly delighted that you like my work. 'Voyage' took me about 5 months to paint, on and off. It's 1 metre square and is my largest work to date. Sometimes I have to leave a painting for a couple of weeks so I can take a view before continuing to the next stage. Also, as you know, it's always difficult to know when to finish a painting. I'm still guilty of tinkering endlessly on my skies! Most of my smaller cloud paintings take around 2 months to complete. Because of drying times I often have 4 or 5 works on the go at any one time. As you've probably guessed clouds have cast a spell on me! They are one of nature's great sculpture parks. And no matter who we are or where we are we can all gaze and marvel at their beauty. I'm very interested in how and why these infinite forms connect with different people in different ways. Our observations reveal a lot about us – In some ways I think of cloud formations as a giant ink blot test...! When I was a kid I used to see dinosaurs and countries. Now I see emotions and thoughts – and of course the occasional T-Rex! All the best Rich
