This is a bigger version of the charcoal scene, using Nitram charcoal, and Clairefontaines smooth 300gsm paper. It is harder to create marks on smooth paper with Nitram charcoal sticks, but the marks you do make, stay put, and it is easy to use a paintbrush loaded with water, and paint all over the finished painting to fix it, :-)
