Lovely little bird Rebecca, not seen this one before only our goldfinch with the red face.

thanks so much Carole :-) i thought i could achieve the American one easier as it's basically yellow and black with not much detail :-p

This is a lovely painting, the longer I look at it I am sure its smiling at me. I would call this a happy painting I like it very much...

This is a very first attempt at capturing an American Goldfinch. It is a watercolour. The paper is Canson XL 300gsm watercolour paper. I used Derwent Inktense black, brusho gamboge yellow, then used Caran D'ache yellow, leaf green, dark green, sea green, and brown. hope you all like it :-)
