Tal-y-Llyn by Ray Beaumont

One of my favourite views. We used to holiday in this area every year as children. I tried to book a night in the hotel you mentioned a couple of years back but no matter how many times i rang the bell in reception nobody came! Memories!! I love your painting of this beautiful place.

Thanks Wenda - I've climbed Cadair from all the usual (and some unusual) directions and nearly always end up in the hotel for a swift half. Often, the Welsh weather is not co-operative for sitting sketching but this particular day was superb. Bright and clear with a slightly cool breeze racing across the llyn and causing the broken water. A beautiful place indeed.

Another wonderful painting Ray. I love the mist rising in the hills. And the reflection of pink of the sky in the water. Looking forward to seeing more.
