You have a very, very beautiful gallery. Your work is very delicate, refined and atmospheric. The way you paint mountains and trees reminds me of the work of David Bellamy. Are you influenced by him or is this your own style? What is the size of your paintings (I wouldn't call them "sketches"!!)? I wish I could paint watercolours like that. Please, give us more of this, congratulations!!!

Really beautiful watercolours, lovely fresh colours. Very well done!

Thanks Christine and Mia! They are indeed sketches. Tenby and Llanberis are on 10x7 bockingford pads. The resevoir is on an A5 cheap pad from WH Smiths. My sketching kit is stashed in the back of my van so is always available in case I spot something. I spend most of my spare time strolling around the Brecon Beacons (I live in the Rhondda) or enjoying long weekends in Snowdonia. I have a couple of books by David Bellamy, but I think he overworks some areas of his paintings, whereas I like to keep everything as simple (and quick) as possible.

I love your style Ray!

Thanks James. I'll try scanning a few more from my sketch books. All the best

Again, another holiday destination! I love your gallery. Beautifully painted.

Thanks Wenda! Just found this site - it seems to be a friendly place. Best wishes
