wow you have cartridge paper that stays flat! :-p............... now that's a shock, because even the drawing paper at 180gsm wrinkles if you do not tape it down :-p i like white paper too, it's very inspiring, crisp and clean :-) its shouting to be coloured :-p well that's how i feel about it anyway :-) the reflections i think are perfect :-) are you self-taught? how long have you been a keen painter? :-) this painting is lovely and loose :-)

Thanks Rebecca :) As for how long I've been painting? Almost 30 years now, time flies. I have belonged to various art groups which is always rewarding and I also read alot regarding various artists teqniques and have bought a few DVD's on how to paint in the past. I have found that I have learnt alot from this site in the past few years just by looking at various artists styles and also from all the comments that are left under my work. It has made me experiment more with different styles . I just couldn't imagine life without painting which I think that I have in common with you. All the best :)

Keep tinkering, Sarah! I'm enjoying your sketches!

Thanks Seok, I'm definitely enjoying the tinkering too :)

I'm just tinkering about in my Sketchbook these days. I like the bright white of the pages which are made up of acid-free cartridge paper. In fact, I prefer it to off-white , thirsty and harsh watercolour paper, and it stays flat !!!
