Lovely view Sarah, gorgeous colours in this watercolour, great shapes to everything as well, you have managed to paint a really good landscape here, love how you seem to have effortlessly shown the vegetation in the foreground and included lovely blue shadows

Hi Sarah thanks for your lovely comment on my cats face pastel, its great to get comments isn't it they encourage us to work on, hopefully you have also noticed the dogs face pastel I posted bit earlier

Ros, great to hear from you! I'm glad that you liked the above painting..You are right, It's always a help when people comment on your work. You have been very busy painting, with lots of great results. Take care :)

Thanks again Sarah, dont know why you bothered with that little fishing boat and the idiot in it spoiling a good walk! (you'll guess my husband likes fishing and i cant do with it!) Your painting is so good with such great colours it didnt need the boat guy, who probably wouldnt have caught anything anyway

Ros! You made me roar with laughter :) Man fishing in boat is my security blanket! What to put in river scene??? Man in boat....perhaps not for much longer :)

Well d'you know Sarah when just out walking our Rosie dog I told my husband about this and about my comment on the chap in the boat fishing and I also added as an afterthought I hoped he wasn't your other half! You couldn't make it up could you! I've been laughing as well since I read your above comment that he IS your partner

Ros! You are cracking me up now :). No he isn't my partner I just meant that every time I do a river scene a man in a boat comes to mind. I should have explained myself better, but it caused a good chuckle and that was worth it :) Cheers!

Back to lots of lovely colour! The last two watercolours that I have painted were very brown and not at all colourful. It also affected my mood.... The more colours used, the happier I become. This is Not very subtle but it's what I like to paint best. On Bockingford paper.
