Really beautiful Sarah love it

A truly beautiful landscape with gorgeous colours Sarah!

All brilliant except for the path, it appears too regular and smooth

Beautiful colours, Sarah.

I am really loving the way you are applying your paint in the last couple of paintings you've posted Sarah. In this one for instance, the way you have created the texture and movement in the yellow field is gorgeous....more please Sarah!!lol

I agree with Fiona. You've created that lovely feel of fantastic countryside.

Dennis, Satu, Derek,Cesare, Fiona and Gudrun thank you for your lovely comments. Thank you for the advice Derek. I can see what you mean . I shall have to make it more rugged looking :)

Nice Job Sarah....I think Derek is correct and I think it leads us out of the painting, not in. A confident impressionist paint application.

Thank you Guy for your lovely comments and for the advice too. I'm not quite sure whether to put more of the rape seed flowers in the foreground of the path just to push it back a bit. Any ideas on that would be good :)

Sarah, I would suggest you vary the foot of the rape seed along the path without so much of a line and colour change, break it up a bit. Even make it narrower.

Gorgeous bright light in the rape field, Sarah, nice contrast with the cool violets in the path.

Sarah you really now how to use colour, and importantly how to use a photo for reference. What I am saying is you have made a painting and not a copy of a photo. You are a painter and will go on expanding your ability. Not going to say anything else others have given you plenty to think about.

Derek, Caroline and John thank you for your comments and help on this one. It's proved to be a challenge and I definitely have to think this one out a bit more but I'm so glad for all your help on this. I'm struggling here but all your comments and compliments have helped me along the way a bit further.

Yes I think that a little in the foreground would be good.... and I think softening that dark line at the base of the rape seed here and there, with a tonal change, perhaps using some of that lovely grey/umber that you have used on the distant hills, would significantly alter your structure...... Well done again..... It sounds like you have huge problems... well you have not!!! It's a lovely sunny calm picture.

This is an acrylic on W&N deep edge canvas, 14"X 11". In real life the pathway is grass but I thought that I would add an alternative colour on the pathway. I took photos of this scene last year.while out driving. We could not believe how spectacular the countryside looked and I just had to stop and take it all in.
