Can just see this beautifuly framed and hanging up in a little French Bistro - lovely!

When in France I have bought this tin many times and - no - not idea why the tin is rippled. Just a design decision perhaps? Lovely evocative painting and as Debs said, just made to adorn the walls of a bistro or a French inspired kitchen.

Nice painting and good use of watercolour. I found this on the web about the 'ribs'......" Walls are often stiffened with ribs, especially on larger cans, to help the can resist dents that can cause seams to split."
