Can't avoid this Nicola it just drew me back, it's great, love the curve and branch details and know exactly what u mean about you wanted to render something for years only to be distracted by other things!!! Xx

Thanks very much. I had put the subject off for ages. But as I live nearby.....I felt obliged. I also liked the fact that there was nothing else in the picture. No boats or people, just the canal in it's loneliness against it's plight. Sad indeed. Still they are replacing them with a disease resistant starin, but it will be many, many years before they have any stature
