I think we all know what you're saying - I have tried (elsewhere) putting it into words, but it's just beyond me: as with Picasso's Guernica, or with Goya's paintings of warfare, pictures may convey a deeper truth than words can offer. In terms of portraying the actual results, at least - there are still deeper truths in this case, buried in centuries of history.
