Nice work John, gouache is a super medium that is often forgotten.

I also like gouache it’s a satisfying medium. This is reminiscent of Vermeer “ the milkmaid” a painting I like very much in fact when pour milk into a large jug I think of it almost every time , Stance, movement and angle of pouring. This has similar references . Nicely done John.

Lovely palette and very harmonious. The garments and walls are particularly good John.

Very nicely painted John, I too love gouache you can get some really strong effects from it which shows up well in your painting.
