Superb , I can almost hear the waves hitting the rocks and the bull crying out.

This is superb John, great painting.

Very good painting John, and you have certainly achieved a good sense of distance and depth.

Yes, birds, people, etc, are invaluable in establishing depth and scale…very well done here.

Smasher and I agree with Paul

I agree with Paul too, isn't it great that you can 'hear' a painting!

Love this, full of movement !!

That sloshing water works well John, as do the birds.

Excellent painting John.

Excellent John!

Thank you POL folks, your comments are very much appreciated.

I like the counterchange in the 2 large birds, light against the rocks, and dark against the sea.

Great, can also hear the waves, and the gulls just make it.

Yes I can hear it John, a fabulous piece of movement and contrast.

Excellent painting John.

Yes , cutting out the sky has emphasised the close up effect and the drama here John. Great impact.

The scene being enclosed without sky the positioning of the birds was very important in order to give a sense of space and depth. Acrylic with palette knife and brush on canvas board. Size 8x10 inches.
