Well! Paul did come home, you have just relived his memory in this lovely painting!

He looks as if he is about to attack or land on your face! Ahhhhhhh! Certainly has impact John.

A bird with an attitude!

Love the shapes the wings/feathers make - and he looks like he's really concentrating on getting his landing right! (We had to put squirrel guards on our hanging bird feeders to keep the pigeons from scoffing everything - amazing how clever they were, though, at balancing on the tiny perches.)

Lovely work title and story John

Hi John nice paintings, this is a wood pigeon , I'm a driving instructor and I've picked up loads of these beautiful birds injured , I take them to wythall animal sanctuary , they are a bit silly they fly around at the same height as the traffic . Nice work.

maybe because you gave him the kiss of life John he kept away!! lovely oil painting full of action and colour and life

Thank you Jennifer, Linda, Satu, Jenny, Dennis, Dennis, (that's good of you Dennis), Margaret, David you are right I stopped giving the the kiss of life after that.

This just made me smile, John! That little chap looks like he's got attitude in spades!

Unusual view John, appealing. I think he is after my chips!

Oil on canvas board. 8x6 inches. Friend and I as teenagers had a bird hospital . one patient was Paul the pigeon. After he had recoperated we let him go thinking he would return but he never did. Guess he was not a homer.
