Very striking portrait - the eyes are compelling. The hair is amazing and all in all well up to your very high standard. Just noticed that you say this is a first pastel portrait - go straight to the top of the class!!

O M G!!! You simply are a natural. I've never known anyone produce this high standard on a first attempt. I'm with Seok Yam Chew though, you can go off people you know!!! But seriously, well done, you're pastel hooked!!

I spotted this on the home page of A&I and was very impressed but I'm even more impressed now I know this was you first pastel. I've turned an unflattering shade of green and thrown my pastels in the bin LOL

Pastel on colourfix paper. 23 x 30 cms (9" x 12") After meeting a great spanish pastel artist last week, I bought some pastels and decided to give it a go, this is my first pastel painting, I really enjoyed painting it!
