This oil painting of Stretton Mill is based on a watercolour work I did over 25 years ago which I'm glad to say was bought by the farmer who lived there. The mill, situated near Stafford, had been out of use for some years hence the mill race was dormant. I've chosen an active sky to add a little drama and also contrast the subject.
