I spotted these Coots on a pond in Hampton Court Palace grounds, the one time residence of King Henry 8th. They were busily adding to the nest site and at one point the attitude of the birds took on a seriously domestic theme of a squabble over the position of the recently added greenery by the male which then spurned the title of the painting!
