The lady on the right is how my grandmother used to dress - and the one on the left looks familiar too; when I was very young, there were still a few very, very old ladies in the village who wore ankle-length dresses, bonnets, and button-up boots............ ah, those were the days; when a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking...

Are the cracks in the pavement your trade mark. STUNNING.

Loving these paintings, the style the detail, quality.

There is simply no end to yor skils and talents Geoff in depicting this scene and others.

Another beautiful painting. They were still dressing like that in the 40's and early 50's. Love it. Thanks for the memory.

Quite amazing. You have brought my lovely mother in law back to life! Wonderful detail in this work. The architecture of course is typical of its time, the rounded emporium building on the right, many gone now to make way for new ideas. Has a feel of Blackpool in the 30's, when I was just a twinkle in my father's eye!

Geoff this is an amazing painting, so beautiful and stylish. :)

I absolutely love this, it so reminds me of my grandmother. You have captured the era and mood brilliantly!
