Thanks for the comments. I have painted several "versions" of this view as it can change from day to day or even minute to minute! Because the coast here is sheltered by the proximity of Skye waves of any height are a rarity so I make the most of the opportunity. Although last week a sustained period of very windy weather meant there were waves crashing on the shore. Already they are the subject of further "efforts". Pete

Just spotted this one. What a beautiful part of the country you live in. I stay in Central Scotland but my favourite places are anywhere on the north west coast. Spent a week earlier this month at Kinlochewe, Gairloch, Lochcarron etc. What I'd give to be able to live there. Looking forward to seeing some more of your "efforts" of Glenelg.

Val, I can't but agree with you that this is a lovely place! If you haven't been you should give Glenelg a try. I have done a number of paintings from this, or a nearby, viewpoint as I like the added interest of the distant land giving a backdrop to the sea-scape. Pete
