This is a plein air painting that I carried out at a place called Mahon Falls which is a glaciated valley in the Comeragh Mountains.The crags and ridges were shrouded in mist and I have tried to capture this misty effect in this plein air sketch.The heather on the mountains is purple at the moment hence the use of crimson hues.
