It's a lovely painting Peter. I wouldn't have thought it was watercolour though. To me it has that pastel quality.

My thanks for the comments Dennis, Paul, Adele and Fiona and yes I was nosed at. One guy even took a picture of me saying "someone who does it the old way". Flattering, but slightly bonkers if you ask me :)

A great painting and a good subject. Like Adele said, I'm surprised it's a watercolour. A lovely painting nevertheless.

The Gatehouse - Lanhydrock. Watercolour on Canson Moulin Du Roy paper. 140lb. 1/4 imperial. This started out as a plein air sketch and was half completed on site. I decided to finish it off today. This is the first time I've used this paper and I find it's not bad at all.
