Started as an urgent birthday card for my wife to accompany a gift to attend a workshop with Crus Utley to do pottery for the first time. Cropped and simplified image from Chris' website. Only small (15x15cm), but had a feel of a medieval craftsperson at work, so decided to use a illuminating technique and added a gold leaf border. Chris saw it, liked it, said she had never had a portrait done before, so my wife gave it to her!
