Cold and lonely

Oh Peter, this is a gorgeous painting. I love these colours so appropriate to a snow and cold scenery. The tractor is so very well painted too!

Hi Jane most of the tractors, excavators I find are still operational, but it's great when you find, those that have been left and forgotten, the trouble is this is very few and far between now in this country. You still find a lot in other countries, especially eastern block. On return from holidays, my camera is normally full of this type of subject, much to my wife's frustration.

You do snow scenes very well Peter and I love that beautifully detailed old tractor.

This is a lovely painting - very atmospheric. I like the contrast between the high detail of the tractor and the relative looseness of the background. The colours work really well.

I can feel the cold, hear the crunch of the snow - great painting. The tractor has just sunk into the ground - never to move again without help.
