Lovely painting with attention to detail. How did you get it to glow like that?

Oh my good God, the work! But it's come off brilliantly - surprised it's from a photo, or rather photos: every now and then, I like a total change from loose and carefree, and this is certainly that.

Great detailed work of a wonderful building. Must have taken you ages!

Thanks for you comments. Linda, regarding the glow this was achieved by using the light colours and strong tones of the shadows. Thea, it took me approx 25 - 30 man hours. Francisco, I use a stipple affect, starting from light to dark, using different styles of oil painting brushes. Colours depend on the tonal differences and time of year being painted. Am trying to loosen time process but still keep a similar effect. Thanks again for the comments.

I love all your work - I cannot decide on a favourite. You certainly know how to use watercolours.
