Lovely piece of photo-realism Claire!

Love the angle you picked for your composition and the bold contrast in the painting.

I find square odd to work in too but this works really well. I like the composition and it is beautifully painted.

One of three 30x30cm square Acrylic paintings...Stripes, Spots and Baby Patches I wanted to try something a little different for me and see how composing a wildlife painting in a square would turn out. I feel the square along with a black background gives it a completely different look to my other work. This is the first zebra I have painted and it was a real joy to create. Very therapeutic. I have plenty of reference material for creating a much larger one in the future. I didn't want to dull the painting at all, so I only used black for the background.
