Oil on canvas board 24"x20". In this painting I used more than a dozen different photos for reference. Some I took myself and some from magazines suitably altered. The background was a village visited on holiday and most of the characters I photographed in various locations in France - mostly at local markets. The two dogs however live in England but seemed to fit the theme. Not all of the characters fitted immediately so some re-arranging and a lot of re-sizing had to be done.Some people had to be reversed to look in the right direction so before anyone tells me about a mistake - the chap on the left in blue fastens his jacket the way a lady would as does the man in the beige & green cardigan.
