Like this Paul, the building storm clouds and increasing waves and colour in the sea as well, you have managed to give a real feel of the developing storm and the boat hurrying to get into the harbour, the colour of the sails gives good contrast in the colours as well

I love the heritage of the east coast. This painting shows the 'Three Brothers' returning to harbour before a storm hits. The boat was built in 1912 and is a fine example of an east coast 'Coble'. It is now permanently moored at Bridlington. I did this painting quite loosely with a slight brown over-tint to give it a slightly aged look.
