I am not surprised he was over the moon! I would be too. Brilliant work, excellent fur detail and those eyes..

I can't believe this was your first dog painting, brilliant work.

This is another great image Paul..

Excellent work here - a little bit different from your mushrooms! No bad thing...

Thank you all for the excellent comments. I wanted to give my best friend something different for his 40th birthday. So I dared to paint this picture of his lovely dog Ziggy. I had a few days to get it finished in time and he loved it.

I have a friend who, like me, loves Alsatians (so much that he'd never call them German Shepherds) and he would kill to have this painting. I'm contemplating murder myself.. Amen & hear hear to all the comments above.

Lovely painting. Love it too. Jean

Agree with all the above comments, it such a smashing painting, you must be very proud, and your friend is very lucky. I love it.

Amazing detail - I first thought it was a photograph! Well done! Any tips on the fur effect?

Thank you for the comments. To Linda Wilson, I use a fur brush, one of the Bob Ross type.

Beautiful.

this is so real

This was my first dog painting. I did this one for my best friend for his 40th birthday. He was over the moon about it and it his hanging in pride of place in his house. It is painted with acrylic on canvas.
