Sandra Dean

Biography

I was lucky because I attended Art School in the early 1960's , where I studied Fine Art and learnt the fundamentals.... mainly the value in drawing . After a lifetime doing other things... Wife Mother and working a family business unrelated to art.. I feel I have finally come home... and with more free time I am doing what I love ....and I love doing it. I mainly specialise in Figurative and portraits My Oil painting tends to be quite traditional and I mainly use an earth palette, and I like to choose subjects with a romantic feel . Last year I started working in Pastel , and found it liberating. here I am more experimental , and more impressionistic in style and colour.it has helped me move my boundaries .. and I am enjoying not being so confined. However both styles of working are enjoyable it often depends on my mood.......
