Wow !!!!!! Actually speechless !

I second that a wow of a portrait beautiful:)linda

Paul a question do you find the interactive acrylics better than the normal ones?also did you get through to the N E C again, I saw you there last year when I picked up my entry:)Linda

Thank you for the kind comments. Linda, yes I do find the interactive acrylics much much better than normal acrylics. They do dry the same as normal acrylics but if you wet them with water or paint they are wet again. You have to get used to them but I really do like them. I have used Golden open acrylics and they are really nice but again, you have to get used to them but the blending power is great with them. I am indeed in the comp again with a painting of a rose, are you in it this year?

Wonderful picture of your boy, so lifelike !

You love that little boy, don't you? That comes over loud and clear in this superb portrait.

I really thought this was a photograph - it is so very lifelike. It is a brilliant painting. You have an excellent portfolio - the work in it is so varied and so good. I do like the animal portraits in particular.

Absolutely adorable Paul, you are a genius with paint!

Absolutely stunning - again. Each time I see your work, it just make me say "if you can do it so can I" even though I paint in watercolour. I'm supposed to be loosening up, but your stunning detail directs me otherwise. the challenge is on. Back to your painting, your work is not just about the detail, the tonal contrast is superb, you have really court him beautifully. You can see the question in his expression, were to dad.

Thank you for the comments. I'm sorry to hear that Linda, I'm not happy with mine I would have loved to enter the butterfly but didn't do it till after.

Superb portrait! I really like the limited palette, and how the light is falling on his face!

Love this painting, and the dog of course. Beautiful!
