Perfection Paul, absolutely spot on!

Everyone a beauty. Our friends will start nesting near our house soon. Last year there were 16 fledgelings from one nesting box.

I love all the detail you get into your paintings Paul, another great addition to your gallery

Your birds stand out in the gallery Paul, they are always a delight!

Thank you Ros, Glennis, Christine & Gudrun for you encouraging words. Pat - how lucky are you! I hope you have a nest box cam set up inside!

Paul -I've just looked at all your birds and am absolutely amazed at your skill. Of all of them the only one i've never seen (in the flesh so to speak) is the Sparrowhawk. My favourite is the Nuthatch- which in previous years use to feed on a birdfeeder outside my kitchen window. I'm hoping you might do a painting of a long-tailed tit as I think they are so pretty.

Hi Carol, thank you for your lovely words! The Sparrowhawk I painted landed on our birdbath in the back garden, we do see them every now and then in our garden due to my feeding the birds for my photographs. I was lucky to have the camera at hand when it perched no more than ten feet away!

Coal Tit in watercolour/acrylic - 225mm x 167mm on SAA 300gsm NOT paper. This was painted from one of my photos taken at a local bird hide in North Devon. Such a beautiful bird and one that tends to complain when I am near the feeders! http://www.devonartist.co.uk/
