This is superb Paul, it looks a wonderful place.

Lovely brightness coming from the left, and the ducks look as though they are enjoying the lagoon. I have not used UArt pastel paper for a while, although I always got on well with it.

Thank you very much Margaret, it is indeed a wonderful place. Many is the morning over the years camping there, I have sat on the sand dunes with my coffee, camera, and a sketch book or pastels and enjoyed watching the ducks or shore birds in the lagoon.

Thank you Jennifer for your comments. I like the Unison paper, and have also enjoyed working with Fisher paper which is not as easy to find over here. I switch back and forth between UArt and Sennelier LaCarte and occasionally Colourfix or MiTientes Touch anded paper.

Pismo Lagoon is formed by a creek that empties out into the Pacific Ocean at Pismo Beach, California. During a very hot heat wave, I decided to paint a cool rendition of that lovely place I have enjoyed over the many years we camped there. The pastel is 12"X16" on UArt 600 pastel paper.
