Autumn Tulip Leaf
Took me about 6 weeks to draw but I think it is now finished. This leaf landed at my feet back in the autumn. I picked it up and put it to one side eventually getting round to draw it in late November. Surprisingly it stayed pretty much as I found it. Being strapped to an easel for 6 weeks, of which it fell off practically every day it is now looking a bit battered with various parts having fell off it. But immortalised in pastel. I love doing these studies from life, they really help to give me the technical skills that allow the rest of my work to flow.
