im a crow man Paulette I love them , I have been over Sandwell feeding them today with my wife and our dog Arthur . I buy dry dog food its a complete meal and they love it and magpies those birds are very intelligent they recognise me from a mile away . your painting is delightful

Thanks for the great feedback. It was a challenge. I love working with charcoal and a bit of pastel but I’m still experimenting with it as I never know how much to put on etc. Thanks for the idea of the dog food. How do you stop your dog eating it when you put it put for the crows Dennis? We have a magpie nest nearby, they are always in the garden. I’m still waiting to get the shot of two together on the bird table.

'The Lookout' drawn in charcoal and pastel. This is quite a large piece 20 x 16" on toned grey paper. I took a photograph of this chap at Tatton Park. He was sitting on a clump of grass watching us (or more importantly our dog Charlie) whilst we walked by. There is such a calm intelligence about crows that I find fascinating...
