I keep trying to find ways of bringing charcoal into all my work and then combining it with pastel for movement. I picked this maple leaf in all its glory at the height of autumn and fortunately photographed it. I still have it which was a great reference to use alongside the photograph. it is 9 x 12" which is quite a bit larger than life on Stonehenge pearl grey paper
