Mixed media (graphite, watercolour wash and coloured pencil). We are lucky enough to have a magpies nest in our holly tree. They've nested next door one year and the garden behind the year before so I'm pretty excited to see them here this year. Hopefully I'll be able to sketch more feathers as they fall. I picked the name from The Durrells where Spiro could not pronounce the word 'magpie' - My Family & Other Animals' was my favourite book as a child.
