Beautiful Paulette and the rough stone texture works so well

I think it's a lovely portrait and worked so well in the medium. The way you have captured the sheen of skin is very cleverly depicted.

This is a really strong portrait Paulette. As Derek says, the sheen on the skin is wonderful.

I have never drawn anything like this before. If I went to art school I would probably spend some quality time sketching casts etc. When I saw the image of 'Nubian Girl' by Friedrich Goldscheider I knew it would make a beautiful study in charcoal. It's very elegant with lots of gentle curves and very few straight edges, charcoal can capture these curves perfectly. I would love to know what you think of her.
