When you take the colour out you notice the details. People often say I capture the character of the animals and birds, I think all artists do but sometimes the colour is so dominant that the detail gets lost. Although I do work with colour I find I get much closer to my subject when I take the colour out of the equation. Keep it simple. Charcoal on watercolour paper 10 x 10"
