Hi Paul. Wonderful sky here, lovely painting and a well chosen vantage point. Will you paint more in oils perhaps, now ?

Now you've got the oils out again, Paul, keep 'em out - do more! I remember this area well - spent a horrible, wet fortnight there nearly 50 years ago; the scenery, I recall, was stunning when the cloud lifted. Snag was, it hardly ever did. But that is rather what you expect of mountainous areas - and of Wales, come to that - and I've always wanted to go back and paint it.

I stayed in Betws-y -Coed many years ago while working on a film, we were working quite a way up Mt Snowdon and as Robert said the views are spectacular when the mist lifts, it didn't happen often enough, But your painting is wonderful and I can now see the beauty of the area.

Hi Paul , the movie was called 'The Chairman' starring Gregory Peck, I think it may have gone on release as ' The Most Dangerous Man In The World' Why I've no Idea, Snowdonia represented the Russian Chinese border. All probably well before your time : ).1968
