Pat, firstly I really enjoyed looking through your gallery.I keep trying to paint more loosely and I love that quality in your paintings. The palette you've used in this one is quite lovely. Secondly, thank you for your comment on my gallery. Keep posting your oils - they're great !

I picked these flowers on Saturday, stuck them in a vase and painted them, then added a few highlights today. Only a small painting 12" x 10". I'm trying to paint more freely and not get bogged down with detail. I am inclined to fiddle towards the end of a painting, whethere watercolour or oils, and often spoil what I started with, so I've moved on to another painting now.
