"Hedgerow" by Jo Morton
This 'plein air' pen drawing pairs with the "Boathouses" piece. This is the view up the field towards 'Bank Ground' farmhouse. On the left of the picture can be seen the big bay window where I was told Arthur Ransome would have been sitting as he wrote. The Boathouses are behind where I was sitting under a huge tree, and "Roger's Field" can be seen below the barn to the right. An additional note is that "Meadow's Edge " was painted just a few yards from the farm gate...a favourite spot. © Jo Morton 1991
