Julie will help you create a brilliant autumn landscape in watercolor, using big shapes and fun techniques to maintain a loose, painterly quality, while still maintaining control. You'll use acrylic and mask to lock in your lights and darks; spatter both positively and negatively for the foliage; mix pure, playful color; and more to keep the painting fresh and loose, all while concentrating on a variety of soft and hard edges and a pattern of values to keep the painting realistic. DVD available in our online bookshop.
