Paul Talbot-Greaves Challenge Four - August 2017
Derek Snowdon sent in his version of Paul's challenge saying: 'The whole A4 page was washed with Cerulean Blue, including a heavy Gessoed patch for the upright end of the bridge wall. Yellow Ochre, Naples Yellow, Buff Titanium, Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Umber were the main colours. Using my credit card technique, with them cut to various widths I applied all the paint. There are a few left smudges of Cad Red, mistakenly picked up. After the initial wash, a fault appeared in the top left area of the paper, but I left it. It's not slavishly copied but I attempted a reasonable similarity'
